Fiber Optic TechnicianAbout the Opportunity: We are actively hiring Fiber Optic Technicians for a large-scale data center project in the Port Washington WI area. This is a great opportunity to get on a high-profile project with consistent hours, competitive pay, and long-term potential. If you have experience with fiber optics, low voltage, or structured cabling and want to work on mission-critical projects, we want to talk.Key Responsibilities:Install, route, and secure fiber optic and low-voltage cablingPerform fiber terminations (LC, SC, MPO preferred)Assist with fiber testing (OTDR, power meter a plus)Install cable trays, pathways, and supportsRead and interpret blueprints and layout drawingsMaintain clean, safe, and organized job sitesWork alongside project teams to meet deadlines and quality standardsRequirements:2+ years of experience in fiber optics, low voltage, or structured cablingExperience in data centers or commercial construction preferredAbility to read prints and follow install standardsFamiliarity with fiber termination and testing is a plusReliable transportationAbility to work overtime and travel if neededMust be able to pass pre-employment screeningPreferred (Not Required): Data center experience Fiber splicing or testing experience BICSI or similar certificationsBenefits:$33.00–$45.00 per hour depending on experienceOvertime availablePer diem offered for qualified travelersSteady work (40–60 hours/week typical)Opportunity to move to future data center projectsHigh-demand data center work in a rapidly growing industryStrong earning potential with overtime and per diemOpportunity to get on long-term, mission-critical projects
